Lumi Control — stabilize your measurements

Lumi Control: Reflectance and Fluorescence Reference Tools (ISRT) are designed to help Lateral Flow Reader users ensure that their cameras and sensors maintain consistent sensitivity performance over time.

Two complementary versions are available to support different measurement modes:

  • Lumi Control-R: a reflectance-based reference for verifying the relative response to illumination.

  • Lumi Control-F: a fluorescence-based reference for verifying the relative response to fluorescence emission intensity.

Both versions provide a highly stable optical response over years of use, enabling users to reliably detect even small changes in device sensitivity. Lumi Control tools are not absolute calibration standards; instead, they serve as robust and repeatable relative references for production monitoring and long-term performance verification.

Long-term fluorescence stability, proven at scale

Lumi Control-F provides a stable fluorescence reference for monitoring imaging system sensitivity over time.
The chart shows fluorescence peak intensity deviations measured across over 30.000 measurement cycles, demonstrating consistent long-term performance.

Two intensity levels are shown: a moderate-intensity and a high-intensity control. The data shows combined measurements from the Lumi Control-F reference and the Lumi Flex Fluo system. With very low variation across both peaks, Lumi Control-F enables reliable detection of even small sensitivity changes and serves as a robust relative reference for production and long-term verification.

 

Integration and customization

You can choose between:

  • Standard Stand-Alone Version — Control-R can be delivered without a protective housing for direct use.
  • Customer-Integrated Version — Control-F is ideally fitted into the customer’s test cassette.

For mechanical integration orders, the customer shall provide a cassette drawing (STEP or DXF format) or a representative mechanical sample.

All integration requests are subject to review and approval by the R&D department to verify mechanical compatibility and dimensional fit. Upon approval, the integration is performed at an additional cost. Following integration, optical performance is verified through standard post-integration inspection and testing procedures to ensure compliance with applicable performance specifications.
